PRESS RELEASE
Theme: “Panata at Pagtataya: Dalawampu’t Limang Taon ng Paglilingkod sa Sektor at Bayan”
(lit. Trans. Devotion and Sacrifice: Twenty-Five Years of Service to the Cooperative Sector and Society)
25 years hence, the Philippine Cooperative Center is being looked upon as a coordinating body for cooperatives in the country, and a unifying center that focuses on advocacy and education for and on behalf of the cooperative sector. PCC is also the convener of the largest gathering of cooperatives every 2 years (with its National Cooperative Summit).
This coming 24th Annual General Assembly (June 30,2022), PCC would like to commemorate its 25 years of cooperative service. The Annual General Assembly allows PCC’s cooperative members-shareholders to convene and discuss the current status of the cooperative. Aside from the annual report, the cooperative management will also discuss the future plans and actions of PCC – for the approval of the general assembly. The AGA will also hold the elections of the new Board Members for the upcoming year.
This year’s theme – “Panata at Pagtataya: Dalawampu’t Limang Taon ng Paglilingkod sa Sektor at Bayan” – PCC recognizes the stake, sacrifices, vow, and devotion of its pioneering member-cooperatives, for without them, PCC will not be where it is today. For its 25th year, PCC celebrates its roots and founding cooperators as PCC breaks barriers and creates more milestones for the future.
The event will be held on June 29-30, 2022 at the Cocoon Boutique Hotel, Quezon City. Please see details of the 2-day event on the attached “Program of Activities”. Messages of solidarity and support will be coming from different government officials and senators, namely Sen. Risa Hontiveros and Sen. Migz Zubiri – among others. Established cooperative leaders will also be in attendance.
